Getting this article started is like it was to get the tour started. We were talking about it from spring and between the spring and August when we finally hit the road we had changed our route, the spots, people had agreed to come and then didn't people said they weren't going to come byt then did. We were going to get it sponsored by some people and then by others. There was going to be a motor-home paid for then the gas, then different potential sponsors said they would cover the gas or all expenses. Then the trailer idea was abandoned, and it was about getting the hotels paid for. Then we were trying to figure out which cities we have camps we could stay and and... well you get the picture... Finally this is what really happened.

Kouros arrives from the UK. Me and him had been talking about how we were going to make this trip happen for the week or two before he arrived. Finally when he got here and after a lot of phone calls with the rest of the crew we found ourselves looking for a Van… nothing fancy since we had no sponsors who were willing to support us last minute, just the first thing we could find. We were lucky in the end to find One van that could hold all of us. On the day we set out to leave we actually had to wait for it to be returned. Literally it became available at the last minute.

It was early morning, and after an hour wait we get the van. After a quick stop at ΠΑΝΟΣ house and ΜΠΟΛΑΝΟΣ house (thank you for the fruit Ms ΜΠΟΛΑΝΟΣ … it saved lives) we were on our way to ΧΑΛΚΙΔΑ skate park. Everyone was chilling, just taking it easy so early in the tour and a lot of us had not been skating in a wile. So we were working off the rust. Hooked up with some local BMX’ers there which was cool and got to watch a girl give a blow job to her boyfriend in his BMW. Deciding right then and there to take the driving in turns Me, ΜΠΟΛΑΝΟΣ, ΦΑΝΗΣ and ΠΑΝΟΣ became the designated drivers for the trip.

We discussed staying and hitting the park again in the morning but we all got what we wanted out of the place pretty much. The big wallride for ΟΔΥΣΣΕΑΣ, clearing the funbox for ΜΠΟΛΑΝΟΣ, some disaster grinds out of the bowl for me and ΚΟΥΡΟΣ even tried to skateboard. That night we had a swim at the IAMATIKA ΛΟΥΤΡΑ of ΛΑΜΙΑ at midnight and slept at BOLANOS floor at his place there. So with our next skate spot (ΒΟΛΟΣ) in mind we headed for a stop in ΠΗΛΕΙΟ for some beach time. Sleeping in the Van, camping in rain... good tunes, fun with the waves and BOLANOS abusing small children. Oh yeah, and fights iabout who takes the turns around the mountain better.

So we were off to ΒΟΛΟΣ… That’s where we hooked up with ΔΕΛΙΚΟΥΡΑΣ… who was so kind as to let us use his living room as a bedroom for 2 days(BIG RESPECT). Some of us on the couches, some of us in sleeping bags and one of us curled up in on the floor… We hit the notorious rails and curbs of ΒΟΛΟΣ, were greeted by a decent group of local kids. We had fun with the spot and ΟΔΥΣΣΕΑΣ and ΜΠΟΛΑΝΟΣ did some nice gaps in the nearby basket ball court. I tried getting creative with the rail-wall, ΚΟΡΝΦΟΡΝΤ was effortlessly stylish down the rails as usual, ΠΑΝΟΣ showed his usual high level of comfort on rails, and ΦΑΝΗΣ surprised everyone with some grinds down the rails. It was hot as hell, the sun was blazing and we were hung over but we did what we could that day and all in all it was ok.

Next stop was ΛΑΡΙΣΑ and its new skatepark, mostly made for BMXers( the coping was covered by cement...) but still good fun. ΟΔΥΣΣΕΑΣ again ripped the park a new asshole and everyone else skated the park until late. Once again sleeping at DELI'S this time we decided to wake up early next day and travel to the infamous fullpipe of ΤΡΙΚΑΛΑ, a huge old waterpipe which has served the skating and riding purposes of GREECE for many years.

As this was SYEAHSKATE's first time however everyone was super excited to find the well hidden pipe. Naturally after skating it for max 1 hour everyone got too tired and fell asleep or explored the ΤΡΙΚΑΛΑ nature. That day we slept at ΘΕΣΣΑΛΟΝΙΚΗ, again at ΔΕΛΙΚΟΥΡΑΣ house there, seriously without him the tour would be so different. Our next stop was ΧΑΛΚΙΔΙΚΗ were we did nothing for 2 days but getting high and swimming.awesome. Our next stop was again ΘΕΣΣΑΛΟΝΙΚΗ.

The following day there was too much rain to skate so we ended up smoking and drinking too much, but we managed to get a couple of skating hours at ΘΕΣΣΑΛΟΝΙΚΗ new crap skatepark where ΟΔΥΣΣΕΑΣ managed to kill himself trying to jump over some boxes at the funbox but was taken care of by his girlfriend ΛΙΝΑ. The next couple of days we managed to get into a fight with a local poser skateboarder in the rollerskating park of ΦΩΚΑ, who tried to convince us of his idiotic theories about how inline skates destroy skateparks...

Then we skated at a new spot with wooden curbs which I thought was great, indeed lines and tricks were pulled there which had not been attempted in a long time, revisited PARKO KRITHS an old time favorite and finally got drunk for the last time before our trip back home!
